History education is the go-to for most active historians who are confronted with weaponized history. Teach people how to deal with history properly, and they won’t fall into trap of politically manipulated history, the reasoning goes. So if we see more and more impactful cases of weaponized history, does that imply that current history education is failing in this purpose?
