Description
“In this presentation, I will talk about different research strategies for empirical legal research – the experiment, the survey and the case study – and how to choose between them. I will start by explaining what these different research strategies entail and what criteria can be used to choose between them. Subsequently, I will apply the selection criteria to the different strategies, illustrated with a concrete example. The example concerns the study of judicial clerks’ influence on judicial decision-making.”
