Description
This ethnographic study in Nigerian migrant communities in Amsterdam Southeast examines how perceptions and reactions towards deviant behavior can influence social interactions at neighborhood level and possibly fuel conflict. The paper shows how participation in local and transnational networks is linked to a moral economy that influences participants’ behavior and decisions to take risk.
