Keep-It-Real is a comprehensive sexuality education programme Save the Children is implementing in Ethiopia and Uganda supported by ISS. Through the Keep it Real project, a youth-centred Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) programme is being implemented with the overall aim to increase the proportion of very young adolescents and youth who are better informed about their sexual and reproductive health and rights, and thus able to make healthy choices about their sexuality. ISS trained youth peer researchers to conduct research on young people's concerns about sexuality. Dr. Cheney will consider some of the challenges and successes of the programme as lessons learned for other organizations wishing to implement meaningful youth participation, in any type of programming.
