Description
This is a publication package for the article ‘Adolescents’ Trust and Reciprocity Towards Friends, Unknown Peers, and Community Members', containing study information, measures, computer code (SPSS syntax), and data files. Using a newly developed version of the Trust Game among 196 adolescents aged 11-20, this study examined whether adolescents distinguish between trust and reciprocity choices to unknown (i.e., unknown peers), close (i.e., friends) and societal (i.e., community members) targets. We also tested for relations with age and gender to examine developmental patterns, and tested external validity with individual differences in institutional and interpersonal trust, emotional support to friends, societal contributions, and attending to others’ emotions. For an overview of the study design and measures, see our OSF page https://osf.io/h5x2a/.
