Description

Presentation for a workshop about the options of sharing research materials and research data for different research projects. The presentation focuses on the opportunities of sharing materials other than research data, so that you can demonstrate the power of your inquiry and that other researchers can re-use your data and materials. After an introductory talk, the room is divided into groups to work together on different use cases that will help bringing the lecture learnings into practice. After completion of this workshop, you will be able to: explain the importance of documenting your data and research process; explain the importance of sharing materials and (parts of the) data; identify different levels of data processing and levels of data access for data and materials; and find available resources and support for research data management. This event is a part of the Open and Responsible Science Campaign at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
