What conceptions of the body do different professionals use in their practice (e.g. medical, sportive or pedagogical)? In what ways are doctors, athletes or dancers confronted with ethics? What implicit philosophies play a role in the actions of coaches?

As a trained philosopher with experience as a cyclist, I am concerned with these questions in my research. My fields of research are Sport Ethics, Medical Ethics, Philosophy of Sport, Philosophy of Science and Philosophy of Medicine. I have a special interest in the work of Michel Serres (1930-2019), which concerns bringing different scientific and/or societal developments together with a profound emphasis on the human body.
