Personal profile
Research interests
I am a drinks industry professional with 20 years of experience in spirits marketing and education. The deep interest in the history of distilled alcohol that I developed during nearly two decades in the liquor business eventually led me to embark on a PhD program at the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication, where I am currently writing a thesis on the origins of Russian vodka. My research interests more generally concern social and economic history of alcohol as a whole, as well as its many meanings in cultural and social rituals.
