Research interests

Angelos Tsoukalas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Technology and Operations Management at the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM). His research interests include optimization and its applications, with a focus on revenue management and maritime sectors. Angelos has carried out methodological work in several subfields of optimization, such as global optimization, bi-level programming, and robust optimization. His research has been published in academic journals like Operations Research and the SIAM Journal on Optimization.

 

Angelos obtained his Ph.D. in Operations Research from Imperial College London. Before joining RSM, he served as a faculty member at the American University of Beirut and held postdoctoral appointments at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has also spent a couple of years working in the maritime sector as a Data Scientist.
