Research interests

We are mainly interested in DNA damage responses and how this knowledge can be used to optimize tumor treatment. The main focus of the lab is on repair of DNA double strand breaks by non-homologous end-joining and homologous recombination. We are currently mainly working on culturing tumor specimens, such as thin tumor slices, and using them for functional assays. We are developing tests to predict tumor responses in patients upon treatment with chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
