Research interests

Dominic van Kleef is a PhD researcher for the Public and Private Interests sectoral plan in the Department of Law & Business at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam (EUR). Dominic van Kleef's academic background includes an LLM in Administrative & Constitutional Law from the Leiden University and an LLM in Financial Law from the EUR. His research interests lie primarily at the intersection of behavioural economics and financial/investor protection law. More specifically, his research is aimed at the ways in which insights from behavioural economics could be integrated and applied in these areas of law, considering fundamental issues such as autonomy and paternalism, and balancing the interests of firms and consumers.
