Research interests

Gaby Dijkstra is project coordinator and researcher for the European Commission-funded EQUAL4EUROPE research project at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM). She is also researcher and programme facilitator at Erasmus Centre for Women and Organisations (ECWO ) and, in April 2022, was accepted as a candidate to the Part-time PhD Programme in Management at RSM. Her focus will be on gender balanced leadership development. She is interested in experiential leadership development and interventions. 

Alongside her gender-equality focused research and programme facilitation at RSM, Gaby is a sports leadership professional and works with various educational institutions and outdoor sports organisations, both national and international. Within higher education, she focuses on the use of sport in the social field, with emphasis on leadership and empowerment. In doing so, she deals with all facets of diversity and inclusion.

With experience in rock climbing and alpinism, Gaby is also working in the outdoor expedition area, as leadership coach. As volunteer for Young In Prison, she is a mentor to a young person in Dutch youth prison.
