**I??l Sincer is a PhD candidate at the Department of Pedagogical and Educational Sciences of Erasmus University Rotterdam.**
Since 2013, she has been carrying out research as part of a joint project between Erasmus University and the University of Amsterdam into the role of schools in civic education.
The focus within I??l’s PhD research project is on the influence school composition has on citizenship outcomes.
