**Jing Zhang ????is a PhD candidate at the Department of Public Administration and Sociology of Erasmus University Rotterdam**. Jing obtained her Bachelor’s degree (2013) and Master’s degree (2016) in Social Work at Nanjing University, China. From 2014 to 2015, she studied in the advanced Msc programme in Social Policy Analysis (IMPALLA) and obtained her Master’s degree from the KU Leuven, Belgium. Jing has strong research interest in family, care, and ageing. She conducted researches on childcare in China and Europe during her master programmes. At present, she is working alongside the international research project “Life Course and Family Dynamics” with Prof. Pearl Dykstra, Dr. Tom Emery and Dr. Maja Djundeva. Her current research topic is grandparent as childcare giver in mainland China, which examines support and exchange at late life and devotes special attention to comparative research between China and Western countries. The project utilizing comparative data including CHARLS, SHARE, and CFPS. Financially, Jing is supported by China Scholarship Council (CSC).
