Research interests

Jiwei Chen is a Phd researcher at the Institute of Social Studies of the Erasmus University in the Netherlands.

His academic interests lie broadly in the development economics and economics of innovation in the developing countries. He is particularly interested in the impact of climate change mitigation policies, such as policies aiming to support clean energy development.

He has research experience on the green finance policy, fossil energy consumption, and the productiviy consequence of techonology gap between countries. His research focuses on the following region: the ASEAN, the Belt and Road Initiative and RCEP.
