Research interests

**José Nederhand is Assistant Professor at the Department of Public Administration and Sociology at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her research focuses on the performance and legitimacy of interactive governance.** Her work has been published in renowned public administration journals, such as Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, Policy Sciences, and Public Management Review. She has received various awards, such as the Osborne Best Paper Award and the Prof. H.W. Lambersprize. She is involved in the program management of the interdisciplinary Vital Cities and Citizens (VCC) research program in which multiple faculties collaborate to improving the quality of life in cities and increase the social and economic impact of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. She holds a Master's degree in Public Administration and a Research Master's degree in Sociology of Culture, Media and the Arts from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
