Maria Dafnomili is a doctoral researcher. She obtained her BSc in Economics in the University of Crete in Greece in 2008 and her MSc degree in Macroeoconmic Theory and Political Economy in 2010. In her master thesis she crtiticized the uneven spread of the Economic Science into the other Social Sciences focusing on the role of New Institutional Economics.
Her doctoral research examines the impact of the speculative expansion of finance (***financialisation***) and its relationship with the increase in the emergence of financial crises across the globe. Her working experience includes teaching and research assistanships in different academic institutions in UK, France, Greece and the Netherlands, consultancy in the Hellenic Conferedaration and Trade and Commerce in Athens, as well as, organisation of international conferences, editing of books,working in accounting departments in the sectors of tourism and real estate, etc...
