Research interests

**Marijntje Zeijen is a PhD candidate and teacher at the Institute of Psychology of Erasmus University Rotterdam.** Currently, she is conducting research within the field of positive organizational psychology. Specifically, Marijntje works on a resource exchange project, which means that she investigates how people influence each other’s resources. Here, a resource can be seen as a psychological source of energy, such as willpower or motivation. Marijntje obtained an academic Master’s degree in Work and Organizational Psychology and a research Master’s degree in Social and Health Psychology at Utrecht University. During these master programmes Marijntje conducted qualitative research during her internship at TNO in Leiden, conducted research on how personality traits and strengths of individuals within teams influence the general team performances, and developed and pursued an international research project in collaboration with Prof. Jari Hakanen (Helsinki) and Dr. Maria Peeters (University Utrecht).
