Mayssa is currently completing her PhD in Organisational Behavior at the Department of Organisation and Personnel Management, at the Rotterdam School of Management. In her research, Mayssa raises questions about modern team arrangements and their connection to individual and team creativity. She primarily employs quantitative survey-based and qualitative grounded theory approaches in her research. In her dissertation, she specifically focuses on multiple team membership and its influence on individual and collective creativity while considering other aspects of modern teamwork such as team virtuality. Her research has been accepted and presented at several conferences including the Academy of Management Annual Meeting, European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology Conference, and the Interdisciplinary Network for Group Research Conference.
Mayssa also coordinates and teaches a variety of courses and workshops to graduate and undergraduate students. Her main teachings include Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods, Psychology and Business, and Leading for Excellence. She also supervises several master students in their thesis projects.
