Research interests

Paula Vrolijk is a PhD candidate at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam as part of the research project of Prof. dr Renske Keizer on 'The role of the father in child development and the intergenerational transmission of inequality'. Within this project she will focus on fathers' influence on child outcomes within adolescence. Paula is particularly interested in family relationships and different roles that parents have within a family system. During her PhD, she is using data from the ongoing Dutch longitudinal study Research on Adolescent Development and Relationships (RADAR). She also collects data for RADAR G3 (third generation) by conducting home-visits when the child is 2.5 years old. Paula graduated in 2017 from the research master Development and Socialisation in Childhood and Adolescence (DaSCA) at Utrecht University.
