Peter Kavelaars has been a professor of Fiscal Economy at the Erasmus School of Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam since 1996. In addition, since 1989 he has served as director of the Academic Desk at Deloitte Tax Advisers in Rotterdam. Since 1997 he is also a partner in the firm. Before that period he was professor in Tax law in the University of Leiden, was employed in the academic staff of the Fiscal Economic Institute of Erasmus University Rotterdam and - as a government tax inspector - he was seconded to the Department of Public Finances and Tax Law in the Erasmus University Rotterdam. His auxiliary activities include: Chief editor of Pension Memorandum, chief editor of a Fiscal Notebook, and editor of Pensions & Practice. Peter has also edited/co-edited and authored/co-authored a number of books.
