Research interests

Ritwik holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Groningen (2014) and an MSc in Social & Organisational Psychology from Leiden University (2017). He completed his PhD at Queensland University of Technology in 2022 with a thesis titled "Can semi-automated vehicle safety be improved by sharing Trajectory Information Technology that informs drivers of the vehicle’s intentions." Afterward, he worked as a researcher at the Road Safety Research Collaboration at the University of the Sunshine Coast before joining Erasmus MC in 2024.

As of 2024, Ritwik is working on the Vidi grant from the NWO, awarded to his supervisor. This project explores how physicians use AI tools to diagnose skin cancer.
