Research interests

Sebastian Neumann-Böhme is an [IQCE][] Research Fellow and works as a researcher and PhD candidate at the Erasmus School of Health Policy and Management. His research focusses on the formation and importance of reference points in (health care) decision making and the broader field of behavioural and experimental economics.  When the COVID-19 pandemic started in Europe, [Iryna Sabat][], [Nirosha Elsem Varghese][] and [Sebastian Neumann-Böhme][Sebastian Neumann-B_hme] started ECOS (the European Covid Survey) together with senior researchers from the ETN IQCE. The project is a cooperation between Erasmus University, the Nova School of Business and Economics, Bocconi University and the University of Hamburg. ECOS collects information about the willingness to vaccinate, concerns and attitudes of people in the corona pandemic every two months since April 2020. He continued his education at the Hamburg Center for Health Economics, where he received an MSc in Health Economics & Health Care Management. Furthermore, he graduated from the London School of Economics with a MSc in International Health Policy (Health Economics). Before starting his PhD he worked for a large management consultancy in Germany, working for clients in the public and the health sector.  [Improving Quality of Care in Europe (IQCE)][IQCE] is a European Training Network (ETN) that aims to improve the quality and performance of European health care systems.
