Seohee Kwak is a guest researcher at the International Institute of Social Studies.
Before her PhD research, she worked as a researcher for a government-affiliated research institute in Korea conducting multiple research projects in the field of gender and development. She has published several pieces of research related to development cooperation, political action, and authoritarian politics.
With a regional focus on Southeast and Northeast Asia, her academic interests include democratic/authoritarian politics, political rights, protest, social movements, external democracy promotion, and state-society relations.
