Research interests

Veronika Bak is a PhD candidate at the Department of Media and Communication at Erasmus University Rotterdam. She is a member of the research team of the Horizon Europe SEISMEC project (Supporting European Industry Success Maximisation through Empowerment Centered development), a pioneering project funded by the European Commission. Working with a consortium of 31 partners from 17 countries, the SEISMEC project focuses on transforming workplaces across Europe, putting human-centred approaches and worker empowerment at the forefront of advanced technology implementation and industrial development. 

Veronika's research interests include human-centred approaches to workplace technologies, skills development and employment. She aims to deliver impactful research that supports European industry in creating adaptable, inclusive workplaces that benefit both employees and society. As a Reshaping Work Fellow, she also seeks to actively support initiatives that promote a sustainable future of work.
