Research interests

I am a health services researcher with expertise in value-based healthcare and learning health systems. I have worked with various regional and national learning health systems in the US and The Netherlands. Most of my work focuses on inflammatory bowel diseases, but I also work in other disease areas including Parkinson's disease, prostate and thyroid cancer, irritable bowel syndrome, and emergency medicine. I have extensive expertise in the analysis of routinely collected health data, including data derived from medical records, insurance claims, and patient reported outcomes. I am proficient in health services research methods, healthcare analytics, and medical statistics. My work is published in more than 40 scientific articles and has been featured at numerous scientific conferences.
