Description

The Howard Society of Fellows is part of the multidisciplinary Howard Brain Sciences Foundations created by Prof. Howard. Prof. Howard (Director of the Synthetic Intelligence Lab at MIT and Computational Neurosciences Lab at Oxford) started the foundation with the goal of re-establishing the links between different schools of thought and fostering dialogue as an effort to revisit fundamental assumptions about the nature of the brain, cognition, computing, and intelligence. The BSF was a spin off of the Mind Machine Project at MIT and was converted to The Howard Brain Sciences Foundation a 501(c)3 non-profit. (Description from the HBSF website).
