Abstract
The article deals with liability of financial supervisors based on EU law. The author first applies this to the European supervisors ECB, ESMA, EBA and EIOPA. The author discusses in detail the new powers of these supervisors and legal protection against these supervisors with specific focus on liability. The author then pays attention to the national supervisory authorities, including the recent limitation of liability of DNB and AFM.
