Abstract

Cardiovascular disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) has emerged as an independent predictor of high cardiometabolic risk. Cardiovascular MRI has proven to be a feasible and reproducible method to assess EAT quantitatively.
