Abstract

The aims of this thesis were to investigate the role of cardiometabolic health in type 2 diabetes development, and to examine the burden of complications, including cardiovascular diseases, cognitive decline, physical disability, and multimorbidity of non-communicable diseases, across the glycemic spectrum.
