Abstract

A 62 yera old male was presented to the emergency room department with a ruptured juxtarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm. He underwent a laparotomy in which the aorta clamp had to be placed suprarenal with cooling of both kidneys; however the anastomosis could be made infrarenal. The distal anastomosis was adjacent to the iliac bifurcation. After operation the patient developed an acute renal insufficiency and 48 hours after his condition worsened. A colonoscopy showed ischemia of the sigmoid.
