Abstract

This thesis examines the short- and long-term clinical outcomes of older COVID-19 patients, with a specific focus on frailty and delirium. The studies were conducted across three healthcare settings: primary care, the hospital and geriatric rehabilitation. In the final chapter, we reflect on the challenges of conducting scientific research during the COVID-19 pandemic and explore how scientific research in geriatrics can be promoted.
