Abstract

CrimEUR is the blog of the Criminology Department of the Erasmus School of Law, Erasmus University Rotterdam. The authors are criminologists working at our department, who blog in a personal capacity. The blog offers a platform to discuss relevant topics on crime and criminology. Topics on this blog include, but are not limited to, crime and policy and its various actors, criminalization, media coverage of crime, and issues regarding criminal justice, and regulation and enforcement of crime. Posts include thoughts and comments on media reports, books, articles; responses to developments in criminal, social and socio-legal policies in the Netherlands; and preliminary research findings. The website also provides links to more in-depth papers that the authors have published elsewhere. Every other Monday a new post will be published, in English or Dutch. Contributions are limited to a maximum of 1.000 words. Comments and reactions are very welcome.
