Abstract

This thesis covers different aspects of the detection and management of esophageal cancer. Part I focuses on the surveillance of Barrett's esophagus patients, part II investigates the detection of residual esophageal cancer after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy, and in part III the palliation of dysphagia due to esophageal cancer is discussed.
