Abstract
Early-pregnancy is a crucial period for the development of offspring health and disease. In this thesis is described that a suboptimal maternal glucose metabolism already in early-pregnancy is associated with adverse offspring cardio-metabolic outcomes in childhood. These findings are subsequently translated to prediction models for early identification of women at increased risk of adverse offspring health outcomes.
