Abstract

Mountain Platform, founded in early 2022 by former Microsoft subsidiary employees Alice Bom, Iman Hitli, and Mara Leest, aimed to democratise advanced data platforms for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The company offered cost-effective, automated data solutions that enabled SMEs to leverage big data, traditionally reserved for larger corporations. By streamlining data platform development, Mountain Platform reduced time and costs, making it feasible for SMEs to adopt data-driven strategies. The company continued to evolve, integrating new technologies and transitioning to a Software as a Service (SaaS) model, all while staying true to its mission of empowering SMEs to use data responsibly and effectively. Looking to the future, Mountain Platform planned to expand its team and strengthen its role as a key partner for SMEs, helping them thrive in the increasingly data-driven digital age.
