Abstract

The main objectives of the research presented in this thesis was to predict outcome of patients who underwent endovascular treatment for ischemic stroke and to find ways to further improve outcome after endovascular treatment by optimizing (microvascular) reperfusion and by improving the design and execution of randomized controlled trials.
