Abstract
This thesis shows that it is feasible for adults with intellectual disabilities with a higher cardiovascular disease risk to perform a resistance-exercise training program at vigorous intensity. Furthermore, we studied clinimetrics of a number of physical fitness tests, including the responsiveness of muscle strength tests in adults with intellectual disabilities.
