Abstract

Ventricular tachycardia ( VT ) is a rare arrhyth-
mia in the young. Usually it is a symptom of underlying heart disease. In the rare case in which no underlying cause can be established, it is named idiopathic VT . A rare case history is presented of an adolescent with palpitations due to idiopathic left VT . Clinical presentation, causes and treatment of different types of VT in the young are discussed.
