Abstract

Growing towards a more inclusive organisation depends heavily on leadership. You need leaders, at the top but also leaders of teams in other layers of the organisation, who communicate how you lead inclusively. But what exactly do inclusive leaders do? This is explained using three key guiding principles. After reading why an inclusive, diverse, equitable and accessible organisation is essential, and how to develop an integrated approach for this, this chapter focuses on how to get an organisation to change. Change is difficult and people in organisations are resistant, so it really requires a holistic approach to create a transformation. Inclusive leadership is key here.
