Abstract

Additional risk minimisation measures may be needed when medicines are associated with serious adverse reactions for which routine risk minimisation is insufficient. These additional measures are intended to reduce the probability of the serious adverse reaction occuring, or to promote timely recognition and adequate treatment of the adverse drug reaction.
