Abstract

On Tuesday, associate professor Jeff Handmaker, together with colleagues Haya Al-Farra, Jiska Engelbert, Willem Schinkel, Noor Blaas and Isabel Awad, organised a teach-in about the Israel-Palestine impasse, as he calls it. In this piece, Handmaker reflects on the essence of feeling uncomfortable about this long-lasting issue, as opposed to feeling unsafe.
