Abstract

The case starts with a graphic image and depiction of the aftermath of the consecutive earthquakes that devasted Turkey and Syria. The case introduces the LogCluster, an initiative by United Nation’s World Food Program (WFP) to ensure coordination across humanitarian organizations after humanitarian disasters. The case involves a role-playing exercise where the participants assume the role of being representatives of different humanitarian organizations as well as the WFP—the formal leaders of the LogCluster. The participants are summoned to a cluster meeting to exchange information and pool resources to address the humanitarian needs in the earthquake region.
