Abstract

This is a collection of review papers provided in the course of a United Nations University/Netherlands Government project. Their views cover research on economic and social impacts of micro-electronics technology and biotechnology in the Third World and in industrialized countries. The collection also includes 'state of the art' summaries on micro-electronics and biotechnology and a number of country studies of government policy on new technology.
