Abstract

This thesis describes personalised treatment of acute respiratory distress syndrome based on biomarkers and recruitability. In part 1, biomarkers, we aim to titrate the use of corticosteroids. In part 2, recruitability, we titrate PEEP using electrical impedance tomography.
