Abstract

Kidney transplantation is the best renal replacement therapy for end-stage kidney disease patients. This thesis explored various tools to predict the outcomes and complications of kidney transplant recipients, including acute rejection, BK virus infection, tacrolimus-associated nephrotoxicity, patient survival, and allograft survival. Additionally, the intracellular tacrolimus concentration in immune cells were evaluated as a potentially strategy for therapeutic drug monitoring of tacrolimus.
