PROAZ II. GMP-Z flexibel ondersteund

Computerization is becoming increasingly important for the quality assurance of manufacturing practice of hospital pharmacies. In the present article, we describe the manufacturing support software PROAZ II. The facilities and flexibility of PROAZ II support the implementation of the hospital version of good manufacturing practices. The following aspects are discussed: a few technical aspects; stock preparation and patient related preparation; weighing and in process controls; design, maintenance and use of instructions, protocols and labels; statistical controls and the lab module. Some attention is given to data management, authorization and the use of a warning system. Finally, the possibility of working without paper at different locations is discussed.
