Abstract
This chapter delves into the pressing need for comprehensive empirical studies in the field of just transition. It proposes an innovative approach to fill this gap using customized indicators from open-access global data. The primary argument is that this technique will enhance just transition research by providing a detailed analysis of national performance across various justice aspects. This approach equips scholars with the tools needed for extensive investigations. The chapter includes a case study on the DeePeR method, highlighting its potential to inform policy decisions and guide future research. The chapter concludes by emphasizing the significant contribution quantitative analysis can make towards ensuring a just transition to a low-carbon economy.
