Abstract
This paper describes the objectives and contents of the course "Hardware para Domótica" within the master "Sistemas Telemáticos e Informáticos" from Rey Juan Carlos University. Our main aim is based on learning to solve a real problem with the development of a real system. We propose a Wireless Control System to turn on and turn off light bulbs. The system is composed of a Bluetooth module, a microcontroller and an application for mobile telephone to control light by wireless communications. As result of the course that is essentially practical, students improve theoretical knowledge previously acquired during their degree. In conclusion, they may apply this knowledge in future wireless and home appliances.
