Abstract
The special issue on Behavioral Decision Theory in Health of Theory and Decision explores how behavioral decision theory enhances our understanding of health-related choices and policies. It brings together theoretical, experimental, and empirical studies examining risk, time preferences, trust, personality traits, and social motivations in health contexts. The contributions address vaccination behavior, health utility measurement, incentive design, chronic disease management, and physician payment systems. Together, they show how behavioral insights can improve the design of more effective and equitable healthcare systems.
